Giving Back
Since Juno Consulting’s inception we have donated a lot of time to the community sector and we remain committed to our pro-bono activities. This year we will be adding a financial contribution. In each quarter we will be giving away $3,000. In addition, we will close the office for one day per quarter so the whole Juno Consulting team can donate that day to the community group we are supporting.
We can get involved in many ways. For example, you could utilise our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) background. Over the years we have aided both our corporate clients and community groups in building long-term partnerships liberating sponsorship dollars, ongoing corporate volunteers and ’in-kind’ contributions. We have helped community groups understand what CSR is and what it’s not, create CSR marketing plans to approach businesses using a language it understands and, as a result, ensured a positive response. If you know of a good project that you feel business would be interested in, maybe we could help put together a CSR proposal and project plan.
Another way we have helped community groups is in the area of staff and volunteer training. Juno Consulting works with business in area of leadership development. We know that community groups with limited funding often struggle to find the dollars to pay for professional development for their paid (and unpaid) staff. Training is part of the ‘Giving Back’ opportunity on offer.
We are not afraid to get our hands dirty on either indoor or outdoor projects. If you have a community house or garden that needs a little TLC then contact us. Maybe the $3,000 could cover the cost of paint, contribute to a new carpet or furniture. Similarly, it could fill a garden with ’drought friendly’ plants.
Maybe, we could help your clients in some way. For example we have helped deliver internet training to parents who had never touched a computer and were worried that they didn’t know how to keep their children safe as they we surfing the net.
Hopefully, this gives you an idea of what we are willing and able to do. Our aim is to build long-term relationships with the community groups which apply for our funding and support.

We believe Corporate Social Responsibility and changes in organisational values and cultures are expressions of this trend. Our vision is to act as a change agent for this transformation, which we believe is mirrored by equivalent changes in the NGO sector.
Our Values
Juno Consulting advances organisational cultures towards more society minded values and emotional intelligence. We create programs for leadership development under the umbrella of Corporate Social Responsibility and we work with vulnerable clients in the Job Network. To be successful in this endeavour we base our work on a set of values that reflects the interplay between success orientation and ethics.

Paul joined Juno Consulting in January 2007 as our Business Relationship Manager. He holds a strong interest in Corporate Social Responsibility and his focus has been on managing Juno’s corporate-community initiatives such as the Community Mentoring program.

About Us
Juno Consulting is a Melbourne based consultancy that works at the cross section of leadership development and Corporate Social Responsibility.
We have been in business since 2001 and enjoy delivering innovative leadership programs that help business and individual leaders reconnect with community in a meaningful way.
We have provided leadership development programs under the Juno Consulting banner for over 8 years now. During those years we have trained over 2.000 corporate leaders across a range of industries and levels of seniority. As a result, we have accumulated extensive knowledge on leadership and how to develop the emotional skills and competencies that underpin great leadership.
We believe the key to innovation is to foster a workplace culture in which adaptive leadership is encouraged. People of various backgrounds, business, government and academic, have argued that improving Australia’s innovation capabilities will not occur without strong leadership, good management practices and healthy social values across our private and public sector workplaces. A recent report by Professor Roy Green demonstrated that Australian management compared well on operational capability but not so in people management.
Strengthening innovation capabilities and performance in Australia is, first and foremost about engaging and capturing the hearts and minds of people in the workplace and developing a social value system in which ‘adaptive leadership’ is an ingrained part of people’s ways of thinking and doing.
The Juno Group work closely with local community partners and disadvantaged community members across Melbourne and the ‘Business – Community Mentoring’ program provides an ideal platform to affect positive change in the local community as well as providing an excellent people development vehicle for your team. The participating corporate mentors will have the opportunity to develop and sharpen their leadership flexibility and allow participants to apply coaching techniques in an ‘off-Broadway’ environment – mentoring a long term unemployed person.
Juno Consulting also works extensively with a diverse range of social partners including Job Service Agencies, Community Development & Neighbourhood Renewal initiative to work with some of Australia’s most disadvantaged communities. We not only train and coach these job seekers, we also pair them with corporate mentors for a period of 3 months. In over 100 such community mentoring programs we have consistently achieved success rates of 65-70%, mainly working with the long-term unemployed.
We pride ourselves on our integrity, ethical approach and dedication to quality results. At the end of working with us you will be surprised by comments from your staff along the lines of 'My company is great for doing this!'.
